Seriously speaking, im so pissed off with my boss, ( i give her nickname; Asparagus). She is the owner of my current workplace in orchard. It's like, i know you are the owner but then we as your employee, you do need to show at least basic respect. If you want us to respect you, you jolly well have to respect us first.
*IN CASE YOU, ASPARAGUS DO NOT KNOW THAT, RESPECT CANNOT BE BOUGHT BY MONEY... RESPECT, YOU HAVE TO EARN IT.
Technically, all the staff there have other experience working in service line such as sales && F&B service, therefore we know what we are supposed to be doing. We are supposed to listen to our team leader, but you are so KAN-CHIONG SPIDER you keep asking us to do things that is against our team leader's order. let me ask you, IS THAT YOU CALL COMMUNICATION, TEAM WORK ?
alright, we are assigned to do our own job like; water-girl and bus-boy.
It's like, what's wrong with MULTI-TASKING & HELPING OTHERS IN NEED ?
put it this way; i was assigned to be the water-girl && after i had refill all the customer's glass.
i helped my friends to clear away the finished food??
it will make the whole work FASTER & EFFICIENT ! right ???
don't you ever thought that;
IF WE'RE HELPING EVERYONE WITH THEIR WORK,
THE LESSER TIME IS NEEDED TO TURN OVER THE WHOLE RESTAURANT ???
which totally equal to
NO OVERTIME = YOU EARN MORE !
the thing i do not like about Asparagus is that;
- she want us to serve like it is a high-class thingy, BUT herself did not act like one.
- she scold her employee IN FRONT of customer, IS THAT YOU CALL HIGH-POSH RESTAURANT ?
- she do not show any basic respect to her employee.
- she does not even want to hear any comments from her employee.
- she scold with out any valid reasons.
to Asparagus, let me tell you ...
If you the workplace to be like a high-class restaurant, Yes, you can.
Its simple, You just have to be at the back of the service floor && do your own work at the kitchen.
You SHOULD NEVER scold your staff IN FRONT of your customer.
You should take things slow & steady, THERE IS NO NEED TO BE KAN-CHIONG !
think TWICE of the situation, before you scold us.
OPEN YOUR EARS TO US, TO HEAR ALL THE FEEDBACK.

there is a huge urge of quitting this job.
its not that i do not like working here.
i like, its just that the environment & the mangement people sucks to the maximum.
